| Database description: | GENCODE is a database to identify and classify all gene features in the human and mouse genomes. It provides foundational reference genome annotation, and includes comprehensive gene sets those consist of protein coding and non-coding loci including alternatively spliced isoforms and pseudogenes. Manual annotations are conducted to the regions requiring expert investigation. It contains information such as chromosome name, annotation source, feature type, genomic location, genomic strand, genomic phase, etc. Users can access the data through genome browsers and download the data on the site or through APIs. |
