BSDB: Bio-molecule Stretching Database
Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences
Poland | |
BSDB is a database that houses information about the mechanical stretching of proteins. Both ends of a protein molecule are attached to a spring, and the free end of one spring is anchored. The force of resistance when the free end of the other spring is pulled at a constant speed is then measured for all the tested protein molecules. The Database lists results for 17,134 protein structures with 250 amino acids or less. A search option by PDB ID input as well as an advanced search options are available.
